Rescue Glide & Edge Protection Sheet
Rescue glides are crucial tools used to recover and transport immobile large animals safely, minimizing danger for both them and first responders. The edge protection is used in conjunction with the rescue glide and can do a variety of different jobs. It can protect the animal from sharp edges when getting them to the glide, reduce resistance and abrasion, act as a barrier, or a standing platform.
Either the rescue glide or the edge protection can be used to transport equipment to and from an emergency.
They are made to order from laser cut HDPE (high density polyethylene) which is corrosive resistant with aluminum brackets and stainless steel hardware. They have holes cut along the perimeter to aid in securing the animal as well as transportation.
The EQUINE rescue glides measure 4ft wide (1.2m), 10ft long (3.3m) and 0.25in thick (6.3mm). They can also be made 5ft wide (1.5m) for larger animals.
The BOVINE rescue glides measure 4ft wide (1.2m), 8ft long (2.4m) and 0.25in thick (6.3mm).​
The edge protection for both equine and bovine glides measures 4ft wide (1.2m), 8ft long (2.4m) and 0.25in thick (6.3mm).
It's recommended to prevent this equipment from dragging on pavement or extremely rocky surfaces as it can cause damage.

This tool is meant to keep rescuers safe and handle animals from a distance.
